Molly Brown is a research scientist at NASA Goddard space flight center. The goal of the research she is doing is to improve food security around the world. The model she created looks at the connection between satellite data, weather shocks, and food prices. Molly’s hope is that organizations like USAID will incorporate her model into their food security framework. In early May she is publishing a book on the subject called “Food Security, Food Prices, and Climate Variability,” published by Earth Scan. Credit: NASA/Goddard/Rebecca Roth
